Where it all began.

Here we are, about to complain about tiny furniture while standing outside Carnitas Urupan in Tijuana waiting for a friend to finish his picture on the “zebra.” We were inside ready for a hearty meal that winter day when Tom and I noticed the people trying to sit down (or rather, cram in) in their seats at that noisy, pine-sol palace. “Why are all these tables unfit for adults – my knees bump.” “Yeah, I’m tired of always looking up.” We found out it wasn’t just the local standards that violated tall-person etiquette. It’s everywhere.

And that’s where we come in.

At BJOONES Furniture Company, we took a desire for comfort and made it big and rowdy. Some guys get tired of always “looking out” for the furniture, to make sure they don’t “leave a mark.” This table has heard those complaints and defies anyone to harm its surface. It can’t be done. We use big and thick boards, fat welds, and tall perspectives.
